Biomechanics is the science concerned with the action of forces on the living body think of it as the end result on our body of the way that we walk; if there is a problem or fault in one part, it may have a negative effect on another.

Our podiatrists can examine and evaluate the structure and function of your feet and legs by taking a series of measurements, and by watching how you walk; this can identify any faulty relationships between the structures and the movements within the foot and leg, and the causes of your symptoms.

On completion of the assessment, the findings will be discussed with you and recommendations made for the most appropriate treatment, which may include exercises, restoration of joint mobility, insoles or 'orthoses', or a combination
of these.
